Location: Remote. Scotland central belt preferred. Travel to Bathgate 1-2 times per week. Frequent travel to Customers & Edinburgh office as required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Scotland-based savvy, innovative commercial expert with a passion for food to join us at Genius, the UK’s most pioneering Gluten Free Bakery. We’re on a mission to empower everyone in the UK and beyond to enjoy a life without symptoms, without compromise and with utter deliciousness. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you'll be joining a dynamic, ambitious team on a fast and furious journey focused on creating the biggest and most connected brand to Bakery consumers of today and tomorrow. This role is empowered with autonomy and requires someone who can inspire with story telling whilst having a sharp commercial acumen and high level negotiation experience and judgment.  This role will be working the biggest retailers in the UK along with exciting new customer and channel opportunities to bring delicious symptom free products to new and fast growing channels. Perfect for National Account Manager who wants to connect to a business with purpose, focus and fast paced momentum.

  Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage the Customer account P&L(s) to deliver the Genius business objectives
  • Foster and grow collaborative relationships with our Retail partners – where appropriate, delivered through Joint Business Plans
  • Land activation plans that support key Marketing initiatives with Retail partners
  • Represent the voice of the retail partners internally
  • Hunt new business opportunities to further outperform the Budget responsibility for the role
  • Understand and implement the Genius New Product Development process within the Retail partner
  • Collaborate with the Category Team to identify the biggest opportunities for Retail partners and Genius to execute
  • Manage the Demand Plan Forecast including promotional plans
  • Manage the Sales Ledger for each account responsibility to keep it clear and controlled
 Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experienced in Customer relationship Management with a drive for sales and creating big opportunities for growth
  • Expertise in Category and Consumer based selling techniques
  • Creative flair in negotiation processes
  • Outstanding use of visual storytelling to bring internal and external senior stakeholders along on the fast growth journey
  • Curious about insights and trends. Able to distil insight from information and use it to form great ideas
  • Passionate about consumers and customers
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, developing environment
  • Self-starter comfortable managing their time and priorities in a hybrid working environment
  • Team player with the ability to lead from the front
  • Effective communicator across all levels and departments within our internal and external business network
  • Passion to learn & develop with a natural curiosity for personal and business growth
  • Food knowledge and curiosity aren’t a must, but it is a big bonus!
Experience
  • Minimum 3-4 years FMCG experience as National Account Manager or similar
  • Proven track record of delivering sales targets as Net Revenue and Net Margin
  • Strong Customer network to leverage and lead the business on Customer mindsets and strategies
  • Previous experience working in a remote or hybrid working environment preferable
