Welcome Team Steele
What do you get when you add a TV Doctor and an Olympic athlete into the Genius mix? The answer? Team Steele! We’re delighted to welcome Dr Chris Steele and his son Andrew Steele to the Genius Family.
You may recognise Dr Chris from ITV1’s This Morning show, where he is the programme’s resident GP. He is also one of the best-known coeliac medical experts in the UK and Coeliac UK's Health Ambassador.
“As a coeliac, I am personally aware of all the challenges caused by the disease. Genius is a pioneer in developing delicious gluten-free food and I am delighted to have this opportunity to support the company as it continues to make life easier – and tastier – for coeliacs and others who want to reduce gluten from their diet.”
Andrew finished fourth in the 400m at the Beijing Olympics and is on target to challenge for medals in London this summer. Andrew fell ill with glandular fever in 2009 and lost his Lottery funding, so we’re delighted to be supporting to give him every chance of walking away with a medal at this summer’s Olympic Games.
“As an athlete I train better when I avoid gluten in my diet. I was already a big fan of Genius so I was over the moon when they offered to support me as I prepare for the Olympics. It will really give me the best chance to succeed this summer.”
We’re thrilled to have Dr Chris and Andrew as part of the Genius Family. Over the coming months they will be joining us in making sure that you have all the help and advice for a gluten-free diet, whether it is for medical, lifestyle or sporting reasons.
