The Launch of Genius: Breakthrough fresh gluten free bread launches at Tesco
We are delighted to announce the launch of Genius Fresh Gluten Free & Wheat Free Bread into Tesco stores nationwide! Genius is the first ever fresh gluten and wheat free bread, which looks, tastes and feels every bit as good as a freshly-baked traditional loaf. Available as either a brown or a white loaf, Genius has a wonderful fresh, home-baked taste. Now anyone who wants, or needs, to cut down out gluten and wheat, can really enjoy one of Britain’s favourite staple foods.
Genius is the invention of a mother with three young children, two of whom have food allergies. Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne isn’t just any mum though, she is a professionally trained chef, having worked at Michelin starred restaurant Bibendum, and is the co-author of the award-winning Leith’s Techniques Bible. On top of all that, Lucinda also has a degree in physiology and is extraordinarily persistent – baking literally hundreds and hundreds of loaves on her way to launching Genius.
Medical research shows that 1 in 100 of the population now suffers from Coeliac Disease, with an even greater number experiencing some degree of wheat or gluten intolerance. Did you know that there are now more people in the UK who regularly avoid gluten in their diet than those who avoid dairy products?
