Genius TV ads

Friday 22nd October 2010, Products

If you’ve been watching the telly lately you might have spotted our new Genius ads.

They feature a recreation of the world-renowned Genius, Albert Einstein, who enjoys a sandwich made from Genius bread as much as the rest of us! If you haven’t seen the ads yet or if you just want to watch them again (and again!) you can view all of them here.

Is the actor playing Einstein one of the goblins from Gringott's bank in Harry Potter?

OMG, amazing and dancing in the street that there is a gf bread out there that is just fantastic. I am both adventurous and a sceptic so I try everything and nearly all is a disappointment. Not Genius bread, aboslutely loved it and ate nearly half the loaf in one sitting I was so excited. : )

I think the guy in the TV ads is Dick Strawbridge made up to look old??

Would I be right in saying the man playing Einstein in the ads is Dick Strawbridge, made up very well to look old?

This is the only bread i eat feel all the others are tasteless, also can be used right away. Others have to be cooked or heat up first. Amazing bread

Thank God for Genius! At last I can eat bread again, and beautiful bread it is too! A real breakthrough!

At last an awareness advert for those who think gluten free is "weird" - well done and love the link between Einstein and Genius - clever! Love the bread and couldn't do without it, have even got my family enjoying it :0)

I have gone without bread for so many years, got my first Genius small brown loaf today and it is great, I am so pleased I can now have toast in the mornings and eat like normal people

I actually prefer Genius white bread to normal bread. Well done!

It's the first time I have tasted delicious bread, I love toast, and have missed it since being diagnosed 10 years ago.
It's a whole new life, to be able to eat toast again.
Please ask Aldi to stock your bread.
Its a Winner.

Hi Wendy,
In our new TV adverts, Einstein is played by an actor wearing a prosthetic mask. We hope this helps!

I was diagnosed 39 years ago, and this is the very first mainstream advert I've see for gluten free ANYTHING! Well done!

Posted by Anthony - Sunday, 14 November 2010 20:36:07

Can anyone tell me who does the voiceover for the adverts?

is this bread crumbly ?? as some of the gluten free bread i have tried falls apart i love these ads fantastic will buy the bread and give it a go though

Posted by Dianne - Tuesday, 23 November 2010 18:14:08

Crumbly? CRUMBLY ? How very dare you! ( GIggle!)
No, it is the first gluten free thing that DOESN'T fall apart in your hands.
I am longing for Genius to come up with a Granola which isn't full of linseeds. Breakfast isn't such fun when you have diverticulitis as well as Coeliac disease! You got the bread PERFECT. Please go for granola now! :-) Make an old lady happy.

I have just made my first gluten free Christmas pudding using Genius Breadcrumbs - steamed it in my trusty slow cooker. Can't tell you what it tastes like, you will have to wait for Christmas Day for that - but it looks and smells good, and seems to be all the things I would expect - so watch this space!
